Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic modality in which a qualified practitioner guides the clients into a relaxed state whilst the subconscious mind remains alert. The aim is to guide the conscious and subconscious mind to agree. It is important to note that this is done for the best interests and according to needs and goals of each individual client. The client is therefore plays an essential role in deciding his/her goals and will also only be able to progress in as much as he/she allows himself to. In hypnotherapy there is no manipulation and no use of force (you will not be clucking like a chicken as in stage hypnotism). This is an ethically-guided practice aimed at serving each client’s highest good. Therefore, it is also necessary to have a session to talk through the goals and the willingness to change habits and/or achieve goals.
